Anyone have leads on a firm hiring fully remote, entry level corporate attorneys? I am a 4th year lit associate, but would be willing to start from the bottom to change practice areas and be remote, especially if the firm pays well.

Be careful / think about what kind of corporate work you want to do. I’m in M&A and it is insanely busy and when you do it remotely they literally work you 24/7. Clients call you at all hours of the day and night. Everything is asap. I billed 3000 hours last year. That wasn’t really an anomaly at my firm. We pay market (so whatever the big law scale is on above the law).

I know a firm that's amenable to remote hires and have seen them do this several times this year. And they pay market (the new DPW scale). I second the above post's sentiments - that corporate practices can be very busy and turnaround times can be very short. If you'd like to chat further about the firm or your thoughts, feel free to DM me!

Although I’m not the OP, I’m in a similar situation. 3rd year lit looking to transition to remote corp. I cannot DM you for whatever reason, but would be very interested to learn more!

Do you know if Kirkland is taking on lateral lit associates and allowing them to work fully remotely?

So you want a firm to completely retool you remotely, pay you well, and let you stay remote? Not hannenin’

I feel like lit is easier to do remotely. Transactional work has all of the closing copies that need to be organized and checked.

CRE attorney here and can confidently say we’re doing just fine remote! Recording requirements may vary from place to place, but the jurisdictions I mostly practice in are recording electronically.

What is “pays well”? What state.

I’m a fourth year in Tampa who has previously done lit but recently took an entry level corporate position for $90k.

Need some advice: Boss and Partner came into town for two days last week. Most people got drunk, I did not, as I had 3 drinks over the 5 hours we were at dinner and then at the cigar bar. Partner just kept saying he missed his family and couldn't wait to get home. Pretty great to see. My Boss, (Senior Manager) made an inappropriate comment which I acted like I didn't hear and then I quickly left after that (I am quite aware I should have firmly put up my boundary right then and there) Next...

Experienced hire Manager here, informed before Christmas that I’ll be taking another lap but not because of performance (5/5 on scats and all operating at next level) or metrics (22mm in MR) but the only reason is I need more time in the “saddle”… During this time, I’ve been replying to recruiters and after a PPMD interview last week, I was offered an SM role at a smaller firm with a base pay increase of 45% (225k) over my current salary. Very much considering this… thoughts?
