They are a step too far. The red sole is a great look for women. Unless your look is gender fluid Harry Styles / Jared Leto, I would say no. Look at JM Weston if you want a high end, nights out, European loafer.
JM Weston is great, but rather different aesthetic
If you are spending that much money, I would get John Lobb or Edward Green. Those shoes are much better made than the Louboutins.
Yes, they’re pretty great - FYI walking on concrete will scratch the red sole pretty quickly, but you can get it redone, just speak to the store.
The advantage ladies have is that they don’t step on the floor with the entire foot when wearing heels, so the visible red sole stays flawless. Outside of that, the shoe itself is good quality.
If you want to go a step further with dress shoes, have a look at brands like John Lobb, Edward Green, Crockett & Jones. They’re goodyear welted shoes made in England.
I would always go for a welted sole if actually planning to wear these to any extent (eg to the office, rather than just for an evening event). Lobbs and Edward Green would be my choice if so - both are incredibly comfortable and available on some pretty elegant lasts (while stills accommodating my pretty wide feet!).
As a female, I find men’s louboutin’s a bit tacky given the red sole - frankly the women’s too. They are high quality though so if you don’t care about the red or you like to be a bit flashy go for it.
Don’t love the no lace/very bland toe of the photo you posted though, but that’s just personal preference.
Aren’t those formal shoes to be worn with a tuxedo?
They’re pretty tacky with the red sole screaming that they are Louboutins. I would go with something more subdued and higher quality.
I would 100% get a protective sole put on to start so this is very helpful. Good to know that they are actually comfortable
I’ve used 3M clear film to protect my wife’s Loubs. Takes a few mins to do yourself and you can get a roll of film on Amazon.
I have a pair of Louboutin women’s loafers. They are a bit stiff but that is to be expected. Great quality and they look fantastic. Definitely get the protective sole or be prepared to have a cobbler redo them eventually
Damn I guess you got bread like that OP. Whats your TC?
Half would be a gift. Bounce from D and I’m sure you’ll get a nice pay increase!
