Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

I welcome PE investing in accounting. There’s lots to fix of the public accounting model. I am curious how PE would understand and appreciate the industry regulatory issues. Imo, that is what is going to sink the next big firm. <Ducks>
It’s an interesting move for sure. But I’m curious to know the PE firms plan to grow an accounting firm. The entire public accounting model is based on (generally) highly talented partners going out and winning business because their livelihoods depend on it. You take a large ownership stake out of those partners hands, and where does the motivation go? You can’t just lever up an accounting firm and grow EBITDA and cash flows that easily.
This is probably just a sign of PE running out of places to dump all the money they are sitting on.
Splitting the firm into two, maybe they rebrand too.
