Anyone have only one child by choice? What was the reason?

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?

I know I’ll probably catch flack for this but feel compelled to say it anyway. I get really upset when I see parents teaching their kids to steal on the subway. I swear I’ve seen so many times a parent has their little 4 year old duck under the turnstile and open the door for them. It’s not just stealing $2.75 from the city. It’s stealing from the moral character of your kids. At least pay your way and demonstrate being a lawful contributor to society, kids ride free for a lot of stuff anyway

So I had a question for you moms. Sometimes my nanny does things differently than I would and I if it’s a big no I make it very clear that I want it a different way. For example, baby started solids, and she makes fresh food for him everyday. She doesn’t do it when he’s taking his first nap and will do it after he’s up and hungry (and cranky). Yesterday I told her hey why don’t you make his food when he’s sleeping, and she was not receptive for whatever reason.. contd

Wondering if anyone who has gone through divorce and custody has any advice? Me and my wife moved to US in the last few years and recently had a baby. Both of us work in relatively stressful jobs. I am having conflicts with her on how to raise kids - my wife and mil don’t see daycare or nanny as viable options, and want to rely on grandparents from both sides to help with the same. Am I crazy? I recently moved in with my girlfriend of 6 years. I am jewish - I go to temple and celebrate jewish holidays. Technically, she is half jewish half christian. She does not go to temple or church and basically only celebrates Christmas.

Does your school have a hat/hood rule?? I just don’t really see the point. I do not care at all if a student wants to wear a hat or feels inclined to put their hood up. What are everyone else’s thoughts? Should I care about this? I feel like I have bigger fish to fry this year!
