I have 6+ years of work experience working as an Ops Manager in a 3pl company doing last mile deliveries. Highest level of education is MS Supply chain management from UMD. I have been thinking about making a career switch and go into consulting. What are my chances of getting calls from MBB? Or big 4? Or are there any other firms who focus mainly on Supply chain and logistics consulting? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company Deloitte EY PwC Kearney
Thoughts on BCG TA? Have a recruiter interview. Couldn't find much stuff about them in the USA. Is pay/ progression same as BCG? I can't find any LinkedIn profiles for BCG TA either. Thanks!
Howdy fish, currently interviewing at KPMG for a associate role in major projects advisory. I’ve gone through the phone screening and the interview with 2 directors. Next interview is with 2 SM. What kind of questions can I expect in that interview?
Intern stories. Go.
Any ergonomic chair recommendations?
People accepted counter offer and got higher pay and raise again. Should I also do this? Is it ethical? I’m in tax NYC office.
anyone know if i can increase the wire transfer limit in my chase account? it’s $25k right now and i’m looking to transfer $35k
Anyone else feel like that if they aren’t doing the work themselves then it’s never done correctly? Doesn’t matter what it is - admin to client work - always materially incorrect. Also, doesn’t matter what training I give them - a quick overview or an in-depth working session. And then the Partners ask why I’m exhausted all the time.
Advise working with a coworker who doesn't "answer the question directly": I just joined a new company and I am starting to work with a coworker but I feel like he tends to deflect my questions all the time and he often gives a vague/BS answer. FOR EXAMPLE, I stepped in reviewing the list of deliverables needed for the project, I provided my input but instead of discussing the actual context, he would just gave me a bunch of historical background information. How do I "cut to the chase"?
Looking for book suggestions. Want to get my father a few books. I know he really enjoyed the Century Trilogy and Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett - which are both historical fiction. I would be grateful if anyone has ideas for similar books.
I’m looking to further my career and was told I cant interview for a job because I don’t have my k12 administrative certification Anyone in PA- can you help me figure out how to obtain that? TIA
Well fuck. I got laid off. Just when you think you’re in the clear, 2020 brings the pain. Guess it’s true that the big title comes with a big target.
Wanted to understand some standard things about deloitte USI When does promotion happen ? How many times a year How long does it generally take to become senior consultant in the life sciences strategy team. If I join in October 2021 then when can I expect to be promoted
Interested in leaving the firm at a critical time in my current project for personal reasons; is this going too far in terms of burning bridges? I'm the lead on the project.
Could anyone share examples with me of how your agency’s briefing docs (creative briefs, channel briefs etc..) includes prompts for diversity and inclusion or cultural considerations?
I went T2>MBB and am thinking of going back to T2 because I prefer to aim for partner (MBB is not sustainable for me) rather than taking industry exit... Is this a dumb move? I’ll be dropping pay slightly but with better working hours one step below partner vs industry at ‘head of’ level...
