Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

Embarrassing to admit but I have a hard time putting my phone down and I’m sick of wasting my time. I’ve only found ones that allow you to block access to selected apps but it also allows you to end the blocking period whenever you’d like (thus not really helping my ADHD impulses). I am a woman with pretty severe ADHD. I’ve taken medicine pretty much every day since I was diagnosed as a child. Currently I take Vyvanse with 10 mg Adderall. Even with the medicine, I sometimes I feel like I’m barely a functioning adult. My SO and I maybe want kids but I’m terrified of 1) do I have to stop medicine while pregnant and breast feeding, 2) could I even do my job without medicine, and 3) could I really take care of a baby?!? How do most people’s firms calculate billable hours for associates? In other words, what hours are counted towards your target? Do you get credit for things like CLE’s, mandatory trainings, etc.? What about pro bono work (assigned by the firm) or writing for firm publications? Or time that a billing partner writes off on paid matters? What about sick or other leave credits? Is it pretty much everyone’s experience that it’s just straight billable hours on paying clients?
