Anyone have recommendations for firms with good general corporate practices or that encourage associates to work across different corporate practice areas? I’m a second year M&A associate looking to broaden my skill set in my next role.

I'm trying to choose between IBM Corporate Strategy and Innosight. I like both opportunities. Innosight pays more, but I've never had a big brand like IBM on my resume. Additionally, I'm worried whether Innosight's exit opportunities are slimmer than IBM. Would anyone have some advice on what I should pick / how I should think about this?

I am overqualified for customer service roles and under-qualified for technical positions! I have been applying for and haven't been able to land any in both industries.

Will it hurt me in the long run to have comms experience in different industries? My agency is hiring and I'm watching folks at all levels who would otherwise be qualified for a role be disqualified because their experience isn't solely in the tech/B2B space. I enjoy the work I'm doing now but I'm still so new to my career that I can't help but be curious about working in PR for fields like entertainment or consumer. FWIW, my internships were all fashion PR and I didn't think I'd be in tech.
