For those of you teaching virtually, how is your home office organized? What are some of your must haves?

Had an employee request a standing desk due to back problems. went through the ADA process & the employee obtained a doctor's note to support their request. However, the note was questionable. it was from an acupuncturist, on a word doc, no real signature and just said that a standing desk would prevent pain & improve their productivity, nothing about him not being able to work without it. Thoughts? Also, what do you think about having certifications from non-traditional doctors?

Recommendations for foot massager that does provide relief for sore heels?!? (occurring due to long hours of standing desk) Or anything else that works with folks?!?

Now that most of us are going to be working from home, is it okay to use a home office or are we required to sit at an open kitchen table with other people?

Is there a polite way to ask the SM if we can work out of our city office instead of the sad suburban office that’s closest to him and the partner? Majority of the team lives way closer to the city office. I chose my home office and did not expect to have to travel just to work with my team in the office. It’s one thing to travel to client site (obviously part of the job), but another to have to drive out just to work with my team. I wish that would’ve been communicated to me before I started.

If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
