Read the Best and the Brightest, The Fifties, The Reckoning, and the Powers that be by David halberstam. He’s a superb writer, the books sit at the intersection of history and biography, and you’ll have a better grasp on the American century after you finish (topics are Vietnam, 1950s, rise and fall of Detroit auto vs Japan, and media in 20th century us )

@lonslibrary on instagram posts a couple book reviews a week. Beyond that Steve martin, tina fey, or kevin hart's biographies were all fun. Ballad of the Whiskey train robber is the bio of a bank robber/professional hockey player in eastern europe during the fall of the iron curtain. Ken Liu has fabulous fiction short stories.

Crime and Punishment / Dostoyevsky Freud’s said that everything he learnt in psychology comes from Dostoyevsky, surely because of that book. Plot is simple yet intrigue is thrilling

Ugh I wish I could read it in original language!
