Anyone have some insight to an AWS' engineering team's hiring process?

Hi all , need a suggestion. I am currently getting an offer of 40 lpa in India with one of the FAANG companies . The role is not in a fancy team and is okayish.

My company has promised me a transfer to KL Malaysia with a salary of 2,40,000 MYR (~43 lpa) but since I am in consulting , my options would remain open in terms of exit and this can open up South East Asia market for me.

I am confused as to which direction to take. Please let me know your pov in terms of opportunities in SEA, salary

I know a few retired C-level executives who tell me that they would hire me at the director level in pretty much any role (despite currently being an individual contributor) because I'm extremely driven, a life-long learner, a natural leader, and deeply educated in diverse fields (PhD in engineering and MBA in analytics). However, I can't seem to land a senior role. How do I convince an executive to take a gamble on me based on my past success and strong future potential?
