For over 15 years I held customer support roles in a variety of industries. At the same time developing skills in other areas; such as being ordained as a Zen priest and receiving an Integral Coach certification. After being laid off in May, I decided to pursue my coaching business full time.
My question is, for those who have sought out coaching, which area of your life did you focus on first and why?
Which offer will you take?

Hi , I joined recently at a senior business analyst role but they are asking me to perform testing as well making this my secondary skill and justifying that they all do it. Is this a common practice in Barclays to have primary and secondary skills. Please give honest reply as this is related to my profile and roles/responsibility.

MBB- when’s an appropriate time to start taking PTO after you start your first job? I just graduated, start my role in July, and was hoping to take a day or two off in September to travel/see family. However, I heard a rule of thumb that you shouldn’t take vacation in the first 6 months of your new role. Any thoughts? TIA!

FT offers for Software engineering vs Consulting at OW
Hi! Very fortunate to be deciding between Oliver Wyman for consulting and a software engineering position at a large company. The SWE role is $10k higher in total comp, not including stock. Both roles are based out of DC and I am not sure what I want to do long term—would really appreciate any advice!
65K low in Chicago for finance job?
Check with the companies you are interested in first. You might be surprised how many now offer remote opportunities.

I'll look into, thank you for your suggestion!
Remote internships can be harder to come by due to the challenges of training someone completely green without them being on-site. Not saying it's impossible, you'll just have look a little deeper to find that needle in the haystack.

That's sort of what I'm worried about. I've seen or heard of companies extending an internship after a summer and having them work remotely at school. But I haven't seen alot of remote internships of the nature I'm looking for.
I'll keep digging and see what I can find I guess. Thank you for responding to my question.
I found my remote internship through Indeed. You are able to change the location from wherever you live to "remote" which is helpful however you'll likely have to sift through some positions that are irrelevant to your field to find a good one. Tedious but effective in my case.

I've mainly used LinkedIn to search and apply for jobs, I'll have to give Indeed a chance. Thanks for the tip.
Check out Kroger, they have great Supply Chain virtual co-ops

If you can't find a referral here, I would try over on Linked in. I usually have good luck over there! Best of luck to you.
