What will happen if i deny to go to office while I am on my notice period?

WFO has been initiated in my project for people who are already in base location (like me)

They asked me to go but I postponed it by many excuses for a few weeks. Now they are saying I have to go next week and I cannot think of any new excuses.

Please suggest what will happen if i convey directly that I don't want to go at all.

Since I am already on my notice period is there anything they can do that will impact me?

I am convinced that the era of the seminar/dinner is winding down. Especially to clients that are less and less inclined to take two hours away from their night to eat a steak.

I am on partnership track. However a few partners I work with started to act kind of cold lately. It is hard to put it on words. But this is getting harder as it hurts my feelings. Law schools in Toronto - I am currently working as a Senior Auditor at EY & finished my CPA modules in less than 12 months & successfully passed CFE, September 2021 (Fasttrack) while working full time. Hi everyone, a management consultant thinking about going to law school. Do you have any advice for me on LSAT/Admissions/decision to go to law school or not/regrets or excitement about your profession now?

FYI - I have an engineering undergrad (not a practicing engineer). Currently in infrastructure development (funding/financing of major projects/agencies etc)

My spouse has spent 4 yrs in major market biglaw. She has always been interested in public policy/government work and went to law school to do that work. After 2016 election, left DC and did corporate. Now she wants to go back and has had several interviews over the past 5 months with a major DC law firm/lobbying firm. Final round interview in Dec went really well. No response for a month, no response to follow up emails. Is this just holiday delay or should she consider this opp dead?

I took my first day off in 2 years to take my son to the beach. A partner forced me to work all Father's day on a truly unnecessary project due to his own neuroses. Next day I call because our issue is resolved. I'm making a sand castle when I called and he proceeded to berate me about how the problem was my fault (it wasn't). He knew I was at the beach and even ended his rant by saying he hoped I was enjoying my day off. I'm wondering why we put up with it. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Did any one else’s firm just not engage with them during the majority of the WFH period? While when the lock down first happened we had a few zoom get togethers, they quickly disappeared. I’m only a first year and while my practice group ended up being pretty busy I had been hoping for more engagement from partners/senior associates. While I would set up calls and they would say yes, I can’t help but feel ignored by the lack of outreach. Am I asking too much to expect at least a monthly checkin
