How easy is it to switch offices (from one city to another) at your firm? Signed an offer pre-covid for an office across the country and now really wishing I could stay in place. (Start date was pushed back so I haven’t moved yet.)
Had a dream where I was in an alternate reality. Everyone hated me, I had been fired from Deloitte for incompetence, and I was somehow part-owner of an Arena Football team. What the hell does that mean
660k net worth at mid - late 30s still feel insecure due to no access to affordable Health Insurance. Health is ok, some dental issues. But, can we really call this a free country if one health issue can bring you on road? What are the options for health insurance if you try a new job and get fired?
What made you stay in public, instead of going to private or an easier job? Have you every been fired or seen any set backs in your career?
Just started in consulting 2 weeks ago don’t really know what’s going on , which way to turn or hoe to prepare myself. The people seek nice but haven’t step foot in the building to meet anyone in person due to covid so it’s hard to truly tell. Haven’t been on an engagement yet just lost
Have an average book at best. Somehow an okay agency hired and then fired me. I acquired lots of credit card debt in a short amount of time. Now I don’t feel I’ll get a chance again. I really don’t want to work menial job again but that seems it will soon be my only option.

Have a follow up call with a firm that put my offer on hold due to Covid, what are questions you would ask?
hey all, i’m 3 years into my career. some decent work produced, some awards (mostly student). after getting laid off last fall and many many applications and emails sent, I’ve decided to spend time and money on a creative PR stunt to get my dream agencies’ attention. I’ve decided I don’t want to settle any longer, and I’m ready to make the jump to the elite. so people that have made it to their dream agencies: when did it happen for you, what made it happen, and was it everything you hoped for?
Those that have been laid off recently are you speaking to an employment lawyer at all? What are the reasons to / not to?
For those in relationships: What’s your age and how often do you and your SO text/talk on the phone? I’m assuming if y’all live with one another y’all will prob text very little on a daily basis (pre-covid).
Anyone know how to get the underlying dataset for the Bing Coronavirus tracker? Or a similar data set?
90% sure I’m about to be fired for sexual harassment (more detail in comments). Should I resign before I’m fired?
Has anyone had a live jury trial since covid? We could potentially have one in the next 30-45 days. I have team members who very strongly do not want to travel to urban areas and potentially be exposed for a variety of very legitimate reasons (personal and family health issues). I’m not willing to make anyone do it. Has anyone dealt with this?
Fellow Fishes - I am seeking referral in Atlassian.. got laid off last week (SM, 15YOE) looking next gig actively. Thank You 🙏🏼
I was recently laid off and need to talk to an attorney about my rights and severance. Does anyone know of a good attorney in the area? Thanks in advance for any help.
Im a BDR at a large medtech vendor that expanded into SaaS complimenting our existing smart devices at hospitals. Sales cycles are long in this industry (min 12mo), but seems our value-add platform is so new to market that it’s taking longer (16-24+mo). I’ve been here for over 6mo and support 3 AE’s with zero pipeline and wins, despite meeting my own metrics to get meetings. Is this complex environment usual for enterprise software sales? Not sure if I’m hurting my new sales career by staying.
Anyone moved to BizOps in a start-up from Big 4 MC? Seems pointless trying to lateral to MBB/Big 4 strat just to then move on
Young 25 year old bilingual French in Security Sales as an SDR. Making 200% of my number on average. Company doesn’t have a clear path as a next step and I’ve been in the role for a year. How do you get your toddler to adjust to new nanny/au pair, especially if you are home with another kid or working? Our 2.5 year old loved our last au pair but always asked to be with me instead. I’ve been home with him now for a few months and new au pair comes in two weeks. I’ll still be on maternity leave till August so I’ll be home with him and infant and au pair…. Just trying to figure out how best to handle this without stressing him too much.
Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.
Anybody did the apics certification in logistics ? I have the choose between the cslp and cscp but not sure which one I should be doing
