Recon your judges--are they known for being a hot bench, or will they stare into the abyss as you recite a soliloquy? Do they read the briefs or go in cold? What are the questions you hope they don't ask, and how will you answer when they do?

Know the cases both sides cite backwards and forwards.

Reread all briefs and make big outline and short outline. Memorize opening and anticipate question areas and have answers planned out and even tab your record or case or argument that addresses the question. Biggest thing is practice as much as you can

And the offer letter said that the offer is contingent on references… but are they really going to call my current firm? I don’t want my present firm to know I’m looking to leave. They’re already suspicious and looking at my LinkedIn / asking every day.
