Hello! I am an HR Coordinator at a nonprofit in Michigan! We are a growing company and I want to suggest to my boss and other higher ups within the company we create a employee morale committee. How would one go about creating a case for that? Like in my mind a group of people from the company would get together a few times a month and create fun things for our employees. I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

I’m an HR Mgr, and need help approaching my HRC about her demeanor at work. She lost her father last fall, and since returning to work, she’s become incredibly delicate. Often cries at work, staff are hesitant to approach her; it’s like walking on eggshells constantly with her. She does her job well, she takes directions well, but there is no real initiative with projects/tasks and I NEED a strong no.2 - I feel like I’m constantly coaching her and trying to support her, but I’m tired 😣

I found a new job (huzzah!) and turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. But I started feeling crummy last night and went to the doctor for a COVID test today. Lab results already came back positive. So now I feel super guilty about basically calling in sick to my last two weeks of work...should I try and push out my start date to help out current employer? Story Time: We had a team member quit this morning without notice. When the management team asked why he was being so unprofessional and not giving two weeks' notice. The team member’s response was, “would you give me two weeks' notice before firing me”? No one knew how to respond to this.

Hi everyone! I’m in the market for a fully remote or hybrid HR coordinator/Specialist or People Operations Coordinator position, ideally with a big company. I’m currently in grad school obtaining my Masters in HRM, planning to take the SHRM within a year.

I recently got laid off and am really grateful to have received a job offer pretty quickly. It’s for an outsourced HR company where I would be HR/Payroll Manager for about 10 small to mid-size clients. Curious people’s thoughts on if this would be a step back career wise? I worry not working for a dedicated company could hurt my resume. My job titles before this were HR Business Partner, Recruiting Operations Lead and HR Specialist.

I’m looking to carve out my career in HR. I have 2 years in a dedicated HR Coordinator role (essentially with Generalist duties) and 5+ years in senior level hospitality management.
