I work in NY but live in NJ. Last year I worked all year remote from NJ and filed taxes accordingly with no income prorated for NY. I got an audit letter from NY State Tax saying I owe tax money to the state instead of getting a refund of 7k that I was expecting since I paid all state taxes to NJ. Has anyone been through a similar situation?
