I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

It's become clear the role is something I'm very well qualified for, but their pay expectations for the role are much lower than mine. I have got an offer from KPMG. Offer letter has an component which says Purchase of Computer at home Rs 1,00,000/- p.a. for all employees and one purchase is allowed for a period of 36 months. Is it a part of CTC or an extra benefit given to employees?
