My current company laid off my complete team (including myself) few days back. I've managed to crack an interview at a MNC but the HR is unwilling to give me more than 10% increment on my current salary since I joined my current company only 6 months back.

Do y'all think I should accept the offer and secure a job first without thinking too much about negotiation? And then maybe try to find better offers?

Just got fired from my first job for not having good enough work product. I work at a small town firm general practice—-litigation and municipal law — the assessment was fair I think.. just feeling like there was not much of a warning. I was catching myself daydreaming a lot and the partners questioned if I was suited for civil practice. My coworkers & I have a group chat. Fairly often, we do some griping about work. We also have fun convos, share dog pics, etc. Sometimes though, you just want to commiserate. My dog was diagnosed with cancer today. He went through extensive medical tests in September and he was fine and now the cancer has reached his lungs and come too far for us to doing anything about it. He is my first child I can’t handle this pain. He will have 6-8 weeks at best.

Interviewing with another B4 (trying to move from PwC) and I think interviews went well. It was just a normal conversation rather than typical behavioral type of interviews. I think me just talking about my background/current projects answered most of questions they had and I asked a lot of questions to learn about the team and firm. If I have a good vibe, should I trust it?
