Anyone here a L3+ PgM that converted from ITR (IT Resident, Techstop) that would be kind enough to provide advice and mentoring? I am having difficulty finding projects to work on, to build artifacts, as GETrak doesn’t have many PgM related projects.

Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?

Any folks who did their MBA and went and joined MBBs . Was it worth the chase ? Would like to hear more on this.

What does M&A consulting at big 4 look like, especially at the entry level? All my previous experience is in audit/tax and I know nothing about consulting, just wanted to try something new. I liked my finance courses in undergrad, but not sure how relevant that is. Would I have ANY transferable skills from my accounting background? Can you explain what the work is like for a new hire? Especially if you've made a similar switch?

Philosophical question (not trying to be political, just a genuine question I’ve been grappling with): do you think being pro-choice and pro-vax mandate are logically inconsistent? Both are sincere views of mine, but upon further reflection I haven’t been able to think of a way one position could be completely defended without undermining the other. Goes the other way for pro life/against vax mandates as well. The fact is, they just feel different to me, but I’m not sure why. Thoughts?

Any Latinos feeling left out of all this diversity buzz? Seems we are always invisible :/

Have you ever been laid off? What reason were you given?

Would you guys take a 40% pay cut to work 2.5 days a week? Would drop my base salary to $90k. With bonus, I would be making around $110k...

Any recs for a semi-affordable, last minute get away? I’m still 100% remote, I’m burned out & I need a change of scenery for a few days. I’d plan to go for a long weekend & then work remotely for part & take part completely off.

First time I interviewed at my current firm I didn't make it past my second round due to a bad review from an interviewer. Applied again a year later and got hired. In between that year, the interviewer who wrote me a bad review got fired due to poor performance. Moral of the story, it sucks that one person can mess up your job search so badly but don't give up! Often times it's not you, it's them!

What’s in a PE operations role? Is it a good transition from FDD? Is there a salary bump? Is the prestige the same? What about work life balance? Is it better than FDD at a Big 4?

anyone hiring a strategy intern/ jr?

There are several children in my classroom who keep having tech issues. How can I support them without taking away from instruction time?

Do NOT claim you are "colorblind" in the workplace. 1. DE&I knowledge is now a core leadership competency. Colorblind claims will earn you the reputation of being DEI-ignorant at best & racist at worst. 2. Colorblindness within the context of workplace diversity is an obvious lie. You do NOT want to be painted as an intellectually dishonest leader. 3. Colorblind claims signal that you lack the leadership skills & vocabulary to have key conversations. Ask questions here, in this safe space.

Informed today that, unless we win some new business in the next 90 days, I’ll be laid off. Thoughts on when I should start to make alternative plans? (Con’t)

Has anyone used the free Uber airport rides from the Amex promotion? Will it work if I only have a corporate Amex card?

I was diagnosed with mild ADHD, and partially why I went into project management is that I wanted to challenge myself for long term initiatives. Although I’m learning amazing things, I still need a lot of support at times. In addition, multi term or year projects give me anxiety, along with a number of personal obligations (I take care of my mom). My projects include well known ERP vendors, but I am unsure if I should continue targeting long term tasks. I’m waiting on meds to see how it helps.

Would you get fired if you edit your department partners’ picture and send it to your colleague?
