The work I don't mind, the hours and the mindsets of the people I work with are what are driving me out of the job
I like auditing, I don't like all the admin stuff and unnecessary deadlines. If I could do auditing 8-5, with some reasonable deadlines here and there, I'd be much happier
I work in advisory(risk),work 40-45 hours a week, and get paid better than audit/tax. It's fine, but it's not like I'm saving the world. It would be nice to feel some level of purpose. Definitely the better side of B4 though. Pretty low level of anxiety.
In audit and barely bearable. I'd rather be in law but the LSAT disagreed with me
I love what I do, just not the hours
Audit here and I also love my job. The hours, no thanks, but the pros out weigh the cons by a landslide. Open and honest communication with mentors/coaches help keep perspective when things get rough.
Auditing here, like the actual work but hate the charge hours, unrealistic budgets, and the hours. I decided the liking the actual work isn't worth it because of the cons
Like what I do, but management is full of idiots who have no idea what they're doing.
I won't be here long.
I do but would be happier if there was less of data entry, filling out different tax forms and more of consulting.
I LOVE MY JOB! I'm a finance & accounting associate.
And everyone in my department has been there for like 10-20 years. Obviously some with 1-3 years but majority had been 10+ years. It really tells you something. We obviously don't make AS MUCH money as audit / tax but good enough especially for someone just starting out.
Tax here. I like my job a lot, but I'm mostly consulting. Hours still stuck and I'm likely jumping to industry soon
Tax - I love the work but hate the ER mentality like we're saving lives
I'm in tax and I love my job. Work and life always have rough patches, and it's easy to focus on the shit. But I really do like what I do.
EY3- what level are you? Do you get the flexibility to work from home btw?
