Anyone here at AWS Public Sector, specifically in national security agencies? Any thoughts on WLB, teams, general leadership?

I have lots of good friend who work on the AWS National Security team. They are all very happy and enjoy what they do. They are def busy but their current leadership is good. WLB will really depend on the role- TPM vs technical consultant vs engagement manager are the three that I’m familiar with and they all have different levels of customer/internal involvement. One thing to keep in mind, they are really pushing everyone to get FS poly on the cleared side.

If you could ask for anything at your firm - what would you ask for? Caveat: something that is a stretch but realistic. Background: There is some current turmoil and I have been identified as someone they want to stay through it and wait for it to get better. We don’t have many females at the top. I don’t qualify for equity based on current metrics but the metrics used have lots of room for improvement and the current metrics could be “ignored” for me potentially. (Cont)

I’m a mid-level working in a niche area in NYC. I like the work I do, put in long hours, high quality work, take time to mentor juniors, etc. I see myself at a law firm long term but now wondering if this is the right firm to make partner. Among others, one big concern I have is the non-existent emphasis on diversity and inclusion initiatives (they aren’t even pretending to care...), no committees, no statements in support of POC, etc. How do I find firms really committed to these issues?

Has anyone not gotten any interviews so far? 🥲

Current senior graduating in December 21. Go to a complete non-target but have multiple experiences at well known companies/banks on my resume. Current intern at a very well known tech company in their consulting arm… but have had zero luck on applications. Denied by big 4 through the top 10 for entry level development programs, BA, and associate roles. Had great connections a year ago, but since, they’ve all moved to industry…. What would you do?

SMs who worked in big 4 in risk or reg compliance and left consulting, what were some of the exit options available to you that were not compliance related? Industry agnostic
