Anyone here at Microsoft? Interviewed for a role and they said they'd love to hire me but I wasn't a fit for the role I interviewed for so they would put me in the talent plus pool. What's the likelihood I get a role?

Any SE's here currently at Snowflake? I'm about to start an interview process with them (already had a phone screen with the hiring manager). I'd love to get some insight into the day to day of SEs there, especially on the enterprise team. I'm a former Oracle SE with experience in data management and analytics and I'm currently at a small SaaS company helping build out the pre-sales function as the second hire (because the first got whisked away to product management after 8 months haha).

When listing position at a consulting firm on a resume, should you show multiple positions to demonstrate the promotions you’ve received? Or just show the current (post-promotion) role

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.

I had appeared for an interview in juniper networks a couple of weeks ago, two rounds were successful and HR called back. She asked for the expected CTC and i conveyed my expectations. She said she will get back to me after the approval for numbers from senior management. It will take 2-3 days.

That was the last week. I don't have her mail ID, because all incoming mail from juniper are auto mails. But their career portal shows status as "selected for offer" suggestions please.

Partners, what is your experience dealing with HR? Currently make 190k base + ~$35k/year stock options as a Product Analytics / BI Manager at a Pre-IPO comp. Just received a PM offer from an early stage (Series A) comp. After negotiations, they offered $175k-185k base and 0.11%-0.07% equity.

I chose $175k / 0.11% because $10k difference in the cash offer felt not worth the potential upside of more equity. It’s a risk but time will tell. Bad idea / paycut (15k)?
