What do you intend to use it for? I’m certified in a few personality and behavioral assessments from coaching / facilitation company days. I found the certs useful for BD purposes, but outside of directly selling coaching, retreats, or the actual assessments, I am unsure I would recommend getting a cert in HBDI, MBTI, DiSC, Strengths, etc. JUST for the way of thinking. They’re fairly easily understood frameworks, and I’d bet one could find enough free content to be able to leverage for any interpersonal, non-BD centric use.

Good points. I think this explains why the cert is incredibly expensive due to pricing structure associated with how many licenses you get to conduct assessments (at least that’s my understanding).
I think I’m more interested in having the education and knowledge under my belt. Using the cert as another cred to enhance the impression my clients have of me is a bonus, but I’d say the former is more important to me. Perhaps the investment isn’t worth it...
My prior company did HBDI assessments and had everyone post them to help with teaming and communication. It was interesting, but I didn't necessarily find it to be very useful or impactful.
HBDI is super helpful and impactful if you actually use it!! I am a certified practitioner and have used it with internally at our firm with executive teams and externally with clients and they’ve found it very helpful. It’s really helpful to understand people’s thinking preferences and how those interact and show up in different contexts. It helps with team problem solving and communication.
What firm are you? If you’re PwC I can help with more specifics. Haha. But if not, it’s definitely an individual situation but I could intro you to someone who can give you info from Herrmann. Maybe DM me so u don’t have to publicize it- whatever is comfortable
