If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Oh. I missed the "early." Carry on.
No, no one ever gets promoted after senior
Or...you do all those things and they drop your rating so they don't have to early promote and pay you a manager salary
Clearly I'm not getting early promoted anytime soon
Business case drives it. Doesn't matter if top performer if there's not the need
It happens... You have to be on top of your game , produce good Guaita work, have good relationships with executives in your group and have consistently been performing as leader amongst your peer group.
Also be well versed in several technical areas and the a go-to person for managers and above.
I've seen it happen several times, on top of going above and beyond, it is important to communicate that you want to be on the early promote track to your counselor so that early on they can be thinking about you moving into a manger roll. Also there also has to be a need for a manager (which is where people can shafted if they qualify for a manager position, but don't get promoted because there are too many managers)
kiss asses
Hahaha
@ EY 3, I didn't consider this. Good point.
I agree with EY 4. Partner in my office said two of our top performing seniors did not get early promotion to manager because there was no business need, we had enough managers that year
Step 1: the qualifications mentioned above. Step 2: let people know you're interested working towards early promo. Step 3: hope to God that there's "room."
One of my counselees did. Business need drives it, that's true. But at the same time you have to be a 5 rated top performer with excellent exposure to PD/BD activity. Just because there is business case they won't promote someone random. They would rather hire someone random though, with right experience
