works at

My father worked there and I have a couple of friends that work there now. Honestly, the salaries and benefits are much less now, but they still have some good perks: -healthcare - pretty solid at affordable prices -tuition- WB pays 75% of tuition for k-12 -stability Missing benefits: -pension -holiday parties -lots of consultants/contractors brought in Honestly, my friends there now are mostly there for the name and the fact that they had wanted to work there since they were kids. Even they admit that the salaries are much less.

Family member works there. Tough to be a full employee but benefits were amazing for her kids. Private high school paid for and international college. One went to McGill and the other Cambridge. Completely free... granted she’s been there since the 90s. Insurance is unreal too

I didn’t see any pros.. they use a bunch of consultants cuz that’s cheaper... cons, well, no stability, projects tend to be cut off due to budgets, no advancement, low pay... you name it

I worked there for 7 years, ask me anything. If you’re not a foreign national, forget it.

PwC OP, yes a PhD is a must just because it is extremely competitive to get in whether as a consultant or an international employee. Your best shot anyway is to network hard with the stakeholders of the departments you‘d be interested in.
