My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?
Has anyone ever made the move from SAP (or technology - role such as AWS, Hyperion, Salesforce, etc) to Strategy / Management? What are the experiences like, and similarities / differences in roles? I would love to hear your opinions
Just got an offer for a Sr. AWS DevOps role at 145K, I will be working remotely 100% with maybe 5% travel, if any. No bonus with this company. I have over 8 years of DevOps and AWS, all AWS certs . Should I be asking for more $? Thoughts on the offer and how much more $ I should be asking for ? Current location is kinda irrelevant since I will be working remotely.
Any openings for health care professionals?

I will have interview with @EY tomorrow for tax senior position at asset management group in NYC. How can I prepare interviews? What questions would they ask? What salary do I expect? Thanks
I hate rejecting interviewees. :( some of them are genuinely nice people and I think many of them have potentials, but just not the right fit for my team because of skill sets and experience level. I know there’s no perfect candidate and all but some are just not going to be the right hires. It’s ny first time hiring ppl so it feels very uncomfortable and guilty. And I think “hiring based on attitude” is very idealistic and not applicable in most real life scenarios
If I’m pondering a move from a T2 firm doing tech consulting to a boutique consulting firm with less than 3 yoe. What role and salary range should I ask for? I’m thinking Senior Associate and 120k+ base, is that too high/low?

Switched to a smaller firm after being laid off from a big 4 and I miss my old job so much. Even though I like my new job for the most part, I miss the culture, the travel, and the work 😔
Are there any non-tech roles at big tech or 🦄 companies that let me travel occasionally like in Consulitng, but less often? Love the work in tech, but cant let go of consulting lifestyle. Thanks in advance!
Hi all! New to consulting and I received an offer from Deloitte as a consultant under F&EP within GPS. Any pros/cons to F&EP? How’s the work life balance? I assume it’s project-based but I would love to hear others’ experiences
The Away story was an open secret for a minute now. But what I wanna know is who will open the curtains on agencies with similarly trash cultures? https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/5/20995453/away-luggage-ceo-steph-korey-toxic-work-environment-travel-inclusion
I’m trying to get a professional certification. The application to take the test requires three recommendations. Is it tacky for me to ask for a rec from a colleague at a company that I left in the past year?
Looking for the worst project names. I need a list to cross off all the crap. Getting started with Phoenix, North Star... now your turn.
Got an offer from a really small consulting firm that offers no health insurance or 401k match. Otherwise the firm seems like a great fit and something I’d love to be a part of. What are some things I should consider with the lack of benefits? I’m thinking I should negotiate a higher offer to make up for it? Thoughts?
