Moms, I’m falling apart. In the last two weeks…
- Tripped and injured my shoulder and knee. Nothing broken but can’t put weight on left knee without pain
- Diagnosed with keratoconus in right eye
- Stepped on shard of broken glass as I hurried to clean up a dropped water glass
- Baby brought home daycare cold and all 3 of us are sick. Nonstop snot and cough
- Tonight I got (presumed) food poisoning. Haven’t left the bathroom in hours, just threw up violently

Business Development or Marketing in biopharma? Which is more interesting and rewarding? Marketing (and eventually GM) seems to be the top dog in big pharma companies with P&L responsibility, but jobs are limited to commercial companies. BD can exist throughout the development cycle and so you can find opportunities in more exciting cutting edge biotech companies. But BD seems to be a less direct path to C-level and more niche.

I work primarily on R&D recruitment and retention strategy with some ops excellence work — but I don’t have a higher degree in an LS field and no MBA — are industry exits to an R&D role impossible without PhD or MS? I have a social science MA.

Does ZS have work phones?

Any thoughts around going to big pharma (J&J,BMS, merck) vs. going to boutique life science consulting? Pros/cons - any insight would be helpful! TIA!
