Yep it’s how I saved up a little cushion before quitting and going full freelance. I took 3 different gigs over 4 months, all were technically full time. Read about how to find gigs on this bowl, reach out when recruiters post on LinkedIn they have urgent freelance needs. Take the gig. Make sure it’s not the same holding company. Time manage like a boss. Block your Cal to avoid conflicts freelancers tend to have to go to way less meetings anyways.

There’s a lot in this bowl about this topic but I would suggest following the recruiters and resources managers on LinkedIn at all your favorite agencies so you can see when they post looking for peeps, it’s always like a personal linkedin post hardly ever a full on job posting or something. Working not working is another great resource. Also, more obviously, there’s a giant pinned post at the top of this board of recent linked in postings for freelance needs. Avail list on LinkedIn is great too and of course just reaching out to old contacts tell them your freelancing. You have to just comb through everything like twice a day and reach out when you see something. A lot of them book pretty quickly. First gig we (my partner and I got) we just hit up a recruiter we saw needed a team for two weeks after she posted on LinkedIn, we got booked within like a few hours of reaching out.
Got side gigs that I used to do on weekends. Always made sure they weren’t so demanding that they’d eat up into my day job
