You should probably start with the RPA groups at your firm as those will eventually evolve into AI
No I have zero computer science background. I have a degree in chemical engineering. Been learning python in my free time and have been getting involved in AI use cases and initiatives from the MC side (value drivers, etc) but I understand I need to learn the technical side for sure.
Heard about that one too EY1 - thanks. Btw how about taking sometime to review or learn basic fundamentals like statistics and probability? Do you find that's worth the time investment or jump straight into ML courseware because most of those concepts will get covered implicitly?
Unless you have never done stats and probability in school, you should go for it. If you have basics figured out already, take the course directly.
What firm OP? We have a solid and growing practice. Regardless i would suggest figuring out who the leadership are in this space at your firm and try to connect with managers/directors in their chain to see how you might be able to plug in even while in a different practice.
