Is it worth it to do a rotational program 3 years into your career? I have 2 years assurance experience at Big 4 and a little over 1 year experience in “consulting” (Risk Advisory). I’m not really liking what I’m doing and would like to explore other opportunities (cont’d in comments)
Does Kearney have a much faster promotion cycle than most consulting firms? Why am I seeing Managers with barely 4-5 years of experience? Would like to see what the promotion timeline looks like if anyone can share!
What are typical promotion timelines at RSM management consulting? Had a friend get promoted and it seems very fast but curious how much of a stud he is! Thanks!
Which looks better: 1) tier 1 undergrad, mediocre work experience after college 2) average undergrad, equally mediocre work experience after college Would adcoms view (1) unfavorably since they could have landed a good role after college but didnt? I know everyone has their reasons for picking certain roles, but trying to understand how adcoms will view it especially if theres no obvious explanation e.g. going to no-name IB or consulting after college, audit, etc
BETT!! Flexed my negotiation skills and negotiated a 80% increase from my current base salary (not counting bonus, commission or RSUs). Posting for inspiration to others. I used to read this thread thinking people were over exaggerated their pay bumps but it’s real y’all!!
What does the title “client partner” mean — seen mostly in WITCH. Is this junior partner type role/ responsibility/ comp? Similar to Principal/ Senior Director/ Associate Partner?
Just gonna put this out there: found out today that my pops had a kid out of wedlock. Kid is 24yrs old. Mom is crushed. That and I have my CRT on Friday. Fuck!!!!
Was approached by Accenture for a principal role. Any insight on comp? Base/total. Glassdoor gives a pretty wide range of 183-268 base...
I know how the exact salary of the cohort of homegrown senior consultants at a B4 for the same role that I’m applying for. how much more should i expect for experienced hires for this same role with same YOE?
Hotel recommendations in LA where a young, active Aussie consultant can stop for a weekend of pampering and pretending she's not a peasant? I have a ton of Marriott points but fine to spend $ too.

For SFA folks out there (especially in Canada), how reasonable is it to ask for a signing bonus? This would be meant to cover accrued and unpaid bonus + unvested stock from the prior employer.
I have a few contacts that work at a target company. My sister is a lower-level employee there and I have a buddy who is a few levels up from her. Would love if my sister got the referral bonus but would a referral be better from a higher ranking employee? This is for FAANG.
Assuming the firm pays for bschool tuition, how much should I have saved to travel without having to worry about running out of money in school?? Looking at a top 5 program
Is it normal to take time off during your notice period? Especially if it was something you already have approval for before you resigned?
So have a job offer from delta paying 80k and a job offer at eTrade offering around 110k. I like the position at delta much more, but I like the salary at eTrade. Any suggestions ?
How's Edelman NY? Getting hit up for Health which I've never done. It'll entail moving from advertising to PR/earned creative as they call it, and the Health category. Didn't sound like hard sell pharma, quite a bit of branded video content. I searched on FB, sounded mostly negative culturally (employee fired during Pride month, political, creatives better watch their backs, climate denier) with a few who love it. Figured I'll ask if anything's changed, if it's even worth ... considering.
Worth it to pay the 550/year for the Amex corporate platinum once travel resumes? Looks like all the point multipliers are stripped compared to the normal platinum so my initial thought is it’s not worth it
