I’m a third year associate wanting to leave my second law firm. My first two years of practice I was at a small firm and left to a mid-size firm to practice insurance defense. I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Have you ever been ghosted by a recruiter that added you as a connection on LinkedIn? I saw an interesting job posting and reached out to the person who posted (the hiring mgr). 2 days later, a recruiter from the company sent me an invite to connect but didn't include a message. 3 days after that, I sent them a message asking for a call to learn more about the role. It's been almost two weeks now of total silence. Why did they send me the invite if they had no plans to follow up with me?
