two things: 1) recruiters can be idiots 2) qualification guidelines are often either inflated or “nice to have” rather than absolute re: 1), u may want to speak to the account manager (i.e. the recruiter’s boss) - they are the ones with the client relationship and may know whether the yoe requirement is a dealbreaker. re: 2), u don’t have much to lose anyway by going for it. u either get the interview or u don’t, right?

Had this exact situation recently. Job description asked 10+ yoe, I have ~6 + MBA and got the offer. The in-house company recruiter was the one to reach out. Shoot your shot!
