Anyone here have any resources / input on how to set up my 401k portfolio?

What funds do people have in their 401k plans? And how did y’all decide allocation? Can’t tell if I should be more aggressive given I’m in my 20s.

Potentially dumb question here: I am starting law school soon and will not be employed (net income of $0 assuming I don’t get a good summer internship next summer). Does it make sense for me to sell my personal investments next year (assuming my income will still be zero) so I’m paying a 0% capital gains tax rate? I’d just rebuy all of the same stocks immediately… am I missing something?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
