I don’t need a Bic for Her pen to write and I don’t need ETFs for Her to invest.
I’m anti-Ellevest because they charge a pink tax for their services and don’t have a record of out performing betterment or Wealthfront
BBDO, SC1, I don’t agree. If you’re saying women don’t have issues, use cases and needs that standard financial brands aren’t addressing, you’re speaking from a place of privilege.
I’m not saying that, SC2. But this isn’t it. Ellevest markets to women for profit, not a cause, and capitalizes on the use cases you mention to rip women off.
“Ellevest charges a management fee of 50 basis points, or 0.5%; robo-advisors Betterment and Wealthfront, in contrast, charge 25 basis points for comparable products. Some robos, like Charles Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and WiseBanyan, are even more accessible to first-time investors, giving away basic versions of their software for free."
It’s not bad, for sure. The management fees are comparable. I did research and decided on Betterment.
I have to agree. Definitely love investing on my own. I suppose if you’re actually terrified to pick the stuff you invest in or don’t know how to save money monthly like a responsible adult then it might be helpful. I just don’t see the point of the platform
The content is relevant to professional women, there is value in that.
I use Ellevest because it’s really easy to navigate and comprehend. I appreciate the simple interface.
