I have had supplemental insurance before. In one case, a procedure for my son was partially covered by the primary and the secondary covered the rest. No out of pocket costs to me. It depends on what type of coverage you have from each.

You just need to make sure it is something you need. You definitely do not want to pay for something that you do not need. Also, weigh the costs.

Do all therapists use the line, “I’m not taking any new patients at this time.” When they don’t want to see someone?! I found someone who would be perfect and got that line. Seems like I’ve gotten that line every time I’ve reached out to a counselor… has anyone successfully gotten past that barrier? Do they not want to take on someone who has insurance and would rather get the full bill rate in cash?
