"post_content": "Anyone here have military TSP experience? My active duty spouse maxed out his Roth TSP for the year last month at 19.5 but they’re still taking money out. Last year and years prior the deductions always auto-shut off on their own once the limit was reached. What gives? Has anyone experienced this? How hard will it be to get that money back?\n*it’s the plan with no match",

Yes. It’s not hard to get the $ back. You basically send in a specific form early next year and they refund you.

He can go into MyPay and update his contributions to $0, though that won't do anything about his current overage. There's a form for the overage, though I haven't a clue what it is.
He can also stop it on mypay
