Most and least hours billed in a month? 280 and 115, hoping I don’t reach the 300 club anytime soon. Government litigation.
How's the work culture and work life balance at Accenture Interactive? Would love to hear from anyone who moved from Deloitte Digital to ACN interactive. Thanks
Any Deloitte fish willing to shed some light on Deloitte's Value Creation Services (VCS) (part of M&A advisory). Potentially interested in making the move from strat. arm of other big player.
1) what type of engagements realistically make up most of the work?
2) where is VCS positioned within the org?
3) how does VCS within M&A advisory relate to work done at e.g., Monitor Deloitte?
Anyone own the Tumi Kiran tote? Thoughts?
What is the size (number of people) and composition (engineers, researchers, strategists, etc) of Deloitte blockchain team(s)
I had cleared interview in TCS, HR sent salary breakup and role mentioned is Grade C2, designation is IT Analyst.
Is this a good role and want is the average salary for this designation?
How do you get the free fitbit through EHE? Trying to schedule the annual check up but does not offer anything. There was the same question last week but can not find the thread. Thanks

What do you think will be some of the drastic changes in consulting industry in next 20 years?
What’s your average time frame for creative development on a big campaign? Over my career I’ve seen it shrink from 3 weeks to a month (a decade ago) to 4-7 days (currently).
Say you are are big 4 providing advisory services for your client and started seeing someone from another big 4 who was auditing the same client...how big of a deal is it? Asking for a friend.
Let’s look at personal debt since we know we can’t address national debt 😀 What’s your total outstanding debt (incl mortgage) as a % of your annual pre-tax income, and debt excl mortgage and credit cards not paid in full? I will start: 13.5% and zero.
Am I the only attorney in America who refuses to use “revert” to mean “to respond” in emails? It makes my brain hurt.
Hello Fishes , Is it okay to take up an offer with lesser package. Provided we are into better module and mnc . Where opportunity to learn is high . Does it effect our resume ? Infosys
I’m being paid under market. My boss realized this and just gave me a big raise off-cycle without me asking. However, I have now received a job offer from another company for 40k above my new salary (with the raise). I want to leverage the offer for more at my current job (my performance is very strong and even with the raise I believe I’m still under market). Is this a bad idea? How would you frame the conversation?

For those still able to work remotely, have you moved around and spent a few weeks in different cities? If so, has this caused any issues? My biggest concern is not having a monitor (lol) but I really want to float around and get an Airbnb in a few cities across the country while still able to take advantage of the remote setup. Curious to hear experiences!
Looking for advice: I have a hearing impairment and have been struggling to hear over zoom calls and in person meetings with masks on. I have been looking for a simple sound amplifier with noise canceling that will connect over Bluetooth so I can use it in everyday conversations with masks and over zoom or on my phone. I was hoping someone might have recommendations on what works for them. Thanks!
Plaintiffs side (L&E), what do you do when you get a new client in terms of file management? How do you organize information? Do you make a document summarizing the strengths and weakness of the case?
Recommendations for where to find entry level remote doc review? Tried DocReviewers, but it seems I’ve been ghosted.
If you could start fresh with a new group of secretaries and paralegals, what would you do different? Im starting at a new firm next week and want to start the professional relationship off on the right foot..At my previous firm, the staff ran the office and had no boundaries or consequences.
1) Hourly rates, 2) billable requirements, 3) typical bonus (origination bonus and/or discretionary) for 3-4 year associates in small and mid sized firms in California. Go!
Had my first depo - treating physician. I got absolutely waxed by opposing counsel. I feel defeated. I am only a first-year and I know I gotta take my punches early on but holy shit 😂. I got punted into orbit. Put my name on a tombstone already. Anyone with similar first time experiences?
Anyone have insight into what a good answer for “desired salary” is for an in-house position in Sweden or Finland? It would be associate counsel with 2.5 years experience. I have looked at the “average” salaries for attorneys in the cities and countries but don’t know if anyone can give me more specifics?
A while back I consolidated my massive loans. I was paying about a mortgage payment monthly and assuming I was good. Years later a private lender shocked me with a huge balance. For years, I heard nothing about it. Shame on me for not keeping better track of these things, but now I’m in a pickle. They are unwilling to work with me on a reasonable payment plan. I had been paying a few hundred a month and that was fine. Now they say my income no longer qualifies and the principle is probably 3x...
Is Simpson Thacher (NY) a sweatshop?
Curious if folks have thoughts on government work. Specifically advisor vs litigation positions for the federal government. I can’t tell if I actually want to be done with court filings and advocacy or if I’m just exhausted and need a break. I’ve been working uninterrupted the entire pandemic and yes many colleagues have left my firm so I’ve had to pick up their slack.
I’ve been offered a job in house. The company is great and I like the people a lot. The pay would be in the low 200s all in and they’d let me work remotely as long as I could be on site when needed. My only real concern is the pay cut. I’m a senior associate and I’d make about half what I could make next year at my firm if you count the bonus. I have some fairly significant personal financial obligations (family health stuff) that make a big pay cut scary. Any advice?
I’m concerned I’m getting paid well below market rate. I’m finding it impossible to research what others at midsize firms in similar positions are making. Any suggestion for where to look?
Poll: did you frame your bar license scroll(s)? What about court admissions? I just got a license scroll from a new jurisdiction and I’m not sure what to do with it. I did not frame my other two and with three degrees, three licensures, and several federal court admissions, I’m think my office wall is going to look a bit absurd.
I know M&A has a terrible rep, but if there’s anyone who enjoys it (or at least doesn’t completely hate it), could you please say what you like about the practice? Interviewing for an M&A position and really do want to love the job, at least for a year. FYI, I’m retooling from lit, and no, staying at my current firm isn’t an option.
Is anyone paid a percentage of the billable hours they bring in from clients they bring in. My firm pays me as a “1099 eat what I kill” wonder if this is done anywhere else?
When should you post about a new position on LinkedIn? It’s for an in-house role. The day after I accepted my direct boss started following me on there so now I feel pressure to post one of those “ I’m beyond excited to announce that ...” posts although, do we really need to?
