Why do companies make it so taboo to ask about compensation? They expect us to bend over backwards to prove our worth but act like we arent there for a paycheck. It shouldnt be stigmatized. This is a value for value trade here

So, I want to move on and find another job, also I would rather move to California or NY, I’m in MA now. My problem is that I’ve been with my current employer for 7 years, and they transferred me from Europe 5 years ago. I’m in my first VP job, and I got promoted from the inside. So my network is not really that big, it’s largest part consists of our employees, and I don’t have very deep connections in the HR community yet.
