Anyone playing Dota 2 or risk of rain 2?
Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Hi folks,
I have an offer from ZS for DAAC role. But I have inclination towards ML/AI and have done few projects/courses as well. Will it be possible for me to work on ML projects once I join ZS?
What is the process if it is possible? Will it take time or is it just not possible?
Thanks in advance!

SEO is comprised of 3 factors.
1- discovery: making sure that your website is discoverable. Easy wins: Having a clear site map and clear structure while making sure that the website is crawlable. Making sure that your website headings are in the right order<h1>, <h2> etc... making sure that your pages have meta data that accurately describe what the page is about.
2- authority: that's your website being quoted in other websites as it counts as being the subject matter expert of a specific topic/keyword. Easy wins: include links to your website in your newsletter. Encourage sharing your articles. It also counts when you get quoted by a website that's also got a good authority.
Relevance: that's how relevant is your web page to the specific keyword your competing for. Easy wins: research keywords on Google Ads (keyword planner and it's free) and find long tail keywords with low competition!
Awesome, thanks for comprehensive response above. Thoroughly appreciated!
The site was custom coded within Wordpress and has an advanced custom fields structure with various sections and duplication of pages all over the place. So it’s soul destroying sorting through the pages that have descriptions, focus key phrases, page titles and those that don’t - then there’s one that aren’t supposed as there’re not pages they’re mini sections of other pages and when you preview them it just shows template text, but are actually pages and if deleted you’d see a blank section on the page it belonged too. Phew. But I’m persevering whilst also building a new site map, wireframes and user journey flows as the MD wants a whole new website but that’s most likely some time away.
Yes, I use Google Ads keyword planner. I’m also using Yoast Seo (free) and adding key phrases but as the website is custom coded (I’m also not a developer), I can’t see a way of adding more than one focus keyphrase, i.e. related keywords - although I’ve also seen that Google no longer supports adding multiple kwds and instead looks more at the meta description instead?
I am using Google Ads Kwd planner to find related keywords with high search volume with low to medium competition - is this right? It just seems unlikely that we’ll ever get close to the numbers our competitors are getting in terms of monthly visits and rankings.
Backlinks wise, it’s a minefield as I have commenced a list of publication sites in our industry, but I’m sure there’s lots more out there where they’re not related to our industry but to the project’s industry that we’ve just completed for example. I.e. could be food, transport, packaging etc… so would it be better to use presswires/newswires instead? Also, whether to pay for backlinks or not. I’ve heard mixed views - I.e. Google being savvy to this, but then also weighing up hours and hours of time building relationships with hundreds of editors VS paying for them instead. Or whether to just hire a PR agency.
A lot of imposter syndrome also going on. I desperately want to improve things immensely.
Hey! I’d suggest you recommend an automation tool like SEMRush and follow a few basic tutorials for implementation.
Thanks, I have done, I think the subscription costs are putting management off. Then there’s also the point of what if we get it and as I’m not an expert, despite the tutorials I don’t do the right things with it.
I recommend SEMrush as well!
Thank you

Can you hire a freelancer who specializes in SEO?
We had one but they were poor. I have put forward suitable options but there’s reluctancy to invest in SEO right now due to a new website being on the horizon. I have explained that the wins of SEO are transferable to a new website
