I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

Its the best. Everything gets easier bc you’ve rid of the clutter
What is driving this decision? You want to cut costs? Tired of all the consumerism?
Cut costs, reduce consumerism, save as much as possible,
I have some friends who gave up renting and now travel across the country in an RV (while working in tech consulting and law I believe). They talk about some of the lifestyle and logistics of it on their blog: http://rvleaguers.com/
You’d have trouble with McK travel if constantly moving. You can only have one airport as your home. So you’d basically have to LFO everywhere else
McK wouldn't be in the picture if I did this.... So this is a non-issue for me
I’ve done this to varying degrees including not having an apartment at all for over a year. That can get tough. But even now don’t buy much, limit size of wardrobe, etc. I thibk it’s a healthy way to live, for me
Why not start of slow with minimalism. Like de clutter your apartment, keep multiple sets of the same clothes, have 1 bowl, 1 plate, 1 fork etc. make your desk simple (monitor, lamp), etc. if you can do that, then you can go more extreme!
You can just consume less without taking drastic measures.
Yes!!!
Make a list of what you need vs what is nice to have and go from there. You can live in a van easily and make the interior really nice inside. There are lots of blogs and and ig accounts that you can follow to get ideas. I know several people that have done this and love the freedom.
And...this is all I own. Love it. Downsized from full house to this. Still pairing down and happy to prioritize what truly matters (family, health, time, etc) - all previously compromised in consulting. Follow The Minimilists if you’re interested in the life! Makes a lot of sense 🤗
