So I made a job update (promotion) on my LinkedIn profile and made sure to also enable 'Share with Network' but why isn't my network being informed of the good news through notifications. Is there some sort of delay or bug going on with LinkedIn? HELP
What firm has the best workforce planning / analytics practices? I’m trying to think about where i want to go after promotion.
Anyone interested in investing in self storage deals? I’m beginning to raise money for deals with high IRR. Please drop a burner and I’ll reach out.
Anybody have experience with Monta and Farer? I want to get a new watch soon to commemorate a new job/promotion. Looking at the monta atlas blue dial, also the Farer chrono-sport manual and Farer world time.

Parthenon people: what is the % base raise between 2nd and 3rd year (Associate to SA) for a given rating? No need to post whole $ figure, just trying to estimate what I can afford in rent next year.
I am working with a few clients looking to raise capital to bring medical research into the clinic. This is a new endeavor for the firm. I am looking for ideas?
Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
First year level 9 (consultant) expecting to hear about pay raise this Wednesday (will be minimal) I am leaving the firm and new offer wants me to start on 11/26, should I ask to start 12/4 so I can..
My dad was talking to my long term bf about setting life goals, and told him a story about a family friend whose wife had a large corporate job and her husband “was the stay at home mom” (said in a way that was clearly meant to be a dig at the husbands masculinity). My mom stayed home to raise me & my siblings, which ALLOWED my dad to work long hours/be successful. Anyone else face comments like this re: being female breadwinner/husband caring for children more than society expects?
New to this. Is it typical for a firm to ask a staff to do the work of a senior for a year to show that they are ready for a promotion?
Have you guys noticed a difference in reactions when asking for a raise from men/women supervisors? I feel like the women supervisors that I’ve asked get really uncomfortable and look at me like I’m asking for a lot, whereas the men at least are a bit more composed in their reaction and almost expect it. I don’t know though as I only have 2 situations to go by. any thoughts? Curious to know others’ experience
Anyone have any tough negotiations with their employer regarding pay raise, origination, etc? I mean tough to mean like considerable back and forth over certain terms?
Does PwC advisory have a senior promotion bonus? Or is it only compensation raise and performance bonus on previous level?
Does anyone work fewer than 5 days and have a management role at their agency? I work 4 days and am being told it’s holding back being considered for a promotion.
Applying to T15 in R2. Currently have a 700 GMAT (43Q, 41V) after taking once. Even if I raise my quant to 47, which would be impressive for me, I’ll still be at a 700 (possibly 710). 3.6 undergrad GPA. Worth retaking? Or just focus on the rest of my applications?
Worked hard, won business and asked for a raise - got 10%. Now closer to median salary for my YOE. But it’s not in effect until my first year anniversary which is 2-3 months away. Should I accept the raise or negotiate?
Does anyone have any information on Acumen Solutions? Have a third round interview there for an architect role and I was wondering what people thought. The benefits are meh but the total compensation would be way higher.
I was a stay at home mom for 10 years; had 4 children & helped my husband build a decent non legal business. I started my PI practice at end of 2019. I did great in 2020. Unexpectedly I developed inappropriate feelings for a mentor over zoom. We decided to stop working together and started therapy. I faced my horrible childhood trauma, gained confidence and realized how terrible my marriage is. Husband admits mistreating me & regrets taking advantage but thinks I’m unfair for wanting a divorce.

Meeting with a recruiter at one of the FAANG companies. I won’t be able to move jobs because of H1b /GC at least for the next year. Any idea if I should start off with that or should I just try to understand the work that they have been doing?
Ex-Consulant here that now works for a big name Real Estate Investment Trust. Saw on LinkedIn that EY has an America’s REIT Leader. Didn’t know that much attention was paid to the REIT space. Are there really consulting teams dedicated to the REIT space in the Big 4? Love working for a REIT and would love to jump back to consulting if there were teams dedicated to the industry.
Assuming you are smart enough to do both (I know big assumption), are you better off being a SWE/data scientist at FAANG or equivalent level at MBB (based on YOE) from a compensation:WLB ratio?
Don’t MBA programs most want the people who don’t need/want to go to business school (Private equity associates already making tons, successful startup founders, etc)? Seems like they don’t really want anyone who actually needs business school for their career.
My last day at my current job is Wednesday and I’m not starting my new job until 10/4. My health insurance ends on midnight Wednesday. What should I do for those 10 days in between? Seems ridiculous to pay for COBRA for only 10 days.
I got an offer from Deloitte and the role is Lead solution advisor. I am a python developer with devops knowledge. Am i consultant or not? Is there any mistake from the hr team? As far i know lead solution advisor not applicable to IT industry. Could anybody explain?
I got a $8,000 raise for year end and promotion, and no bonus. I just got written offer from other big 4 for 40k more then I am making at Deloitte.
Just joined Deloitte in July out of UG, but want to make move to MBB. Is it a good idea to start applying right away or do I need more experience before making the jump?
Any stats on how many people get past 1st phone screening case interview with McK? Also if it’s phone does it mean no charts?
I run an exec search firm and just got the news that one of the B4 is about to fire 50 “partners” and send them my way / so here we go....
Daddy D is throwing around some pretty crazy referral bonuses right now. If I can hit four referrals, I’ll split evenly among all four + myself. Up to $10k per person and at least $2.5k per person. Put it in escrow and everything. So if you’re looking to change firms, a new opportunity, etc. DM me. Can easily negotiate a nice sign on bonus, and my offer should sweeten the pot.
Had a final interview with McK Academy last week. Recruiter wants to talk tomorrow - why can’t they just tell you directly or at least give you some kind of a hint? I won’t be able to do anything till tomorrow morning 😬😥
Would you leave big-4 for a promotion to "Managing Director" role and a 30-50% salary raise at a Small to Midsize Consulting Firm?
I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
Do any of your firms have mental health/wellness initiatives? I want to start one at mine but have no idea how to go about it
Need advice!! Just got promoted to manager and thinking about if I should pursue a compensation discussion with my counselor. I make 25% less than my peer group. (Lateral hire)
