I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Wanted to share smth I found recently. I felt like it was pretty darn accurate. I’ll provide the link here but there’s a screenshot I took that I feel I can relate to quite heavily. https://pairedlife.com/love/infatuations
I’ve struggled with so many heavy infatuations before and a friend recommended this. Hope it helps anyone else out there who’s gone through this or may be going through this right now.

I used Gleim Premium and passed. I found the videos useless, but spent my time reviewing the study guides and then drilling questions. I also purchased the IIA practice question book which was helpful to have the IIAs wording of questions as a last day practice item. Good luck!
If you have no experience and want to learn how to perform internal audits, get the IIA CIA Learning System.
If you have experience and want to study and pass it, get the Gleim study material with the test bank.
I initially studied with the IIA CIA Learning System and found that the practice test questions were easier than what was on the exam. I didn’t pass. When I studied with Gleim, I found the questions were hard and really prepared me for the actual exam.
I used Gleim. They have an online study course with video lectures, study guides, and multiple choice questions. I just worked through the predefined study plan for each unit, then did multiple choice questions starting a week before the test. Passed all the first time.
I’ve heard the IIA materials aren’t very good. They give too much information, and some of the things covered in the study materials didn’t show up on the test and vice versa. I think they give more information so may be a good reference resource, but the Gleim materials seem more targeted to preparing for the exams.
Seems like a 50/50 split here between IIA and Gleim. I used the IIA materials because that’s what the firm would pay for, and I did pass all parts on the first try. However, their materials are honestly shit and I’d say I passed in spite of those materials rather than because of. The IIA books are the subject matter you’ll be tested on, but they aren’t really “study guides” in the same way you might think of Becker for the CPA. If you want more test prep / study guides and not just a very dry library of material to memorize then do not go with the IIA books
I used the CIA official material (books and online test bank) and passed no problem. I thought the questions were harder in the study material compared to the actual exam. I did roughly two months between exams and wasn’t trying to rush anything
Thanks everyone...appreciate all the responses...based on my research and your experiences I think I'll try Gleim🤞
Get the premium version which will never expire- Gleim guarantees you access until you pass. When you get it, read the book or watch the videos. Afterwards, do the quizzes and a week before your actual exam do the practice exam. If you can score 75% on the practice exam, you should pass.
I got a 73% on my practice exam and passed the actual exam.
Good luck!!
Gleim, no question about it. Don't even bother with material, just test bank away.
