Absolutely no. If anything it raises more issues
Past manager. Putting an alert for every time my status changes, then getting mad at me. B*tch I need to pee. Fml.
D4- couldn't. Secure network. Couldn't even look at Google or submit my timesheet while in our secure office.
Keeping you on calls for hours (often 3+ hours) and talking through / debating every single detail of a deck / model together on the call...
get yourself an imaginary doorbell.....oh wait..someones at the door
Manager gets upset when she hears us typing during calls bc it means we “aren’t paying attention”
Sometimes you might take a quick note while talking
Saw an article in WSJ on how demand for remote productivity monitoring tools is surging. Micromanagement is a behavioral trait that won’t be eliminated easily. It will use technology to adapt to the environment
Lol no. Micro managers will always find a way to try to stick themselves into everything. Like a teenage boy who just found out how his pee pee works.
Micromanagers will always be micromanagers. In fact, mine has begun to lash out even more since we’ve gone virtual! Team is wasting effort on things that have no bearing on results.
Exactly!
My previous manager was a micromanager in the sense that EVERY damn decision had to go through him for approval.
