Anyone here travel with their dog in the cabin domestically? How strict are airlines about the size of the dog bag? I’m flying JetBlue later this month with my dog but none of the bags that meet the JetBlue’s dimension requirements will fit my dog..

What kind of good boy is it?

I have a cavalier! Should be fine under the seat ❤️🐶

smart

My experience is that they are pretty strict bc the bag has to fit under the seat in front of you. That said if it is soft sided and only missing dimensions by 1-2 inches you can prob make it work.

I used to fly with my dog all the time before the rules were changed to say they have to be in a bag and fit under the seat in front of you. Always gave her a cbd treat and she just chilled under my feet. So bummed about the new rules because I think they’re pretty strict about it.

They’re strict. I have had two friends turned away recently and they all flew without issues previously.

For those who have started traveling again... I recently started flying for work and am noticing increased discrimination on Delta Airlines. As a brown person have experienced that in the past, but lately it’s blatant. I’m a diamond and a million miler however, I see more and more out of turn upgrades. Have you experienced and what dis you do about it?

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

I just listened to an interview of a creative director recount their path towards copywriting at a famous ad agency. It could not have been a more textbook case of failing upwards as a white man.

It would seem the only thing you need to make it as an advertising creative is to have lots of not particularly original ideas. Practically every other skill is unnecessary. If you’re a white man.

That this level of mediocrity passes for talent explains why so many agency briefs are so lame.

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Business strategy/biz dev is catching my interest recently.
