Yeah I like Zocdoc for availability! Just hoping for some continuity of care to go along with it vs having to fill out new patient forms each time

I don’t find it much more valuable than using Zocdoc to book. That said, it isn’t very expensive. Not a major decision either way

like

It’s trendy for young people in cities but honestly having existing doctors that are patient centered and always make themselves available is better.

like

I would recommend def finding different doctors that are more reliable and available. It’s like some obgyns takes forever to get to. Then some obgyns you can get in same day or next day. My point is if you’re already paying for health insurance from your paycheck then supplemental can be excessive if you can just go to urgent care or something of that nature. Saying this because I typically have the types of insurance (military spouse) and have had to figure out how to navigate well.

like

Highly recommend - lightyears ahead of any other PCP experience I’ve had

like

Did you find continuity of care to be an issue at all? I have heard from friends/some folks here that because they’re so available, you can get shuffled around to different providers - and that your assigned PCP only comes in at the end

One Medical is priceless! A must for the consultant lifestyle

I loved it! Used it in nyc for 2 years, it’s hard to go back to regular medical offices in other states. I can tap on my phone and video chat with anyone on duty in the spot, nyc offers 10+ locations, the offices are high end, no real waiting times. It’s like a vip, worth the $200 yearly membership especially in busy cities.

like

I use it, mainly because I’m not American and had such a hard time figuring out the medical system here. It’s very good, clean, convenient. I always see the same doctor who I love. That sometimes means that I have to wait an extra day but I like seeing the same person

like

I actually do use it in Chicago. I originally signed up with the free month promo so I could get an easy covid test. Then, when I went to cancel, they offered me half off for the first year. $100 for the year and honestly it’s so easy. Same day appointments, convenient locations, nice app that makes it easy to manage everything, and good support when needed.

No problem! All good. Thought I’d ask ☺️

Any self employed people (I’m a sole trader since May 2021) in the US with suggestions for disability insurance policies? I would want one that pays to 65 with inflation adjustments. Am I overreacting in this scenario? My aunt passed away this week. The entire extended family is vaccinated and coming together this weekend for her memorial gathering & funeral. My older sister flew in from NYC and didn’t tell anyone that she had a fever the past few days. She has not been tested for Covid, and exposed my father who picked her up from the airport. He is making her get a Covid test today. I don’t think she should attend any event & potentially expose older family members. AITA?

Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness? I don’t understand how the medical system is on the brink of collapse right now. Maybe I have a skewed view of Omicron based on anecdotal experience?

Does anyone else feel like Olympic campaigns are seriously subpar this year? (One exception being the skateboarding FB ads by Droga). Normally I feel like there are at least several great campaigns you see over and over and this year I literally can’t even bring many to mind. Wondering if the cause has been covid production restrictions, or less money pumped in due to fear of the games being cancelled, or brands feeling like the Olympics shouldn’t have even happened. Thoughts?

My full time job (not SMU) is literally making me sick-spent time at the ER. One associate quit and another is out of full paid parental leave (must be nice, I’m not paid for doing double the work)…so I’m now expected to do the work of 3 associates. My supervisor isn’t exactly understanding, and I don’t know what to do. I’ve been searching for jobs, but it’s difficult since my background is diverse and not focused on one area of law. Would this constitute a divorce? Spouse always agrees to provide more money to his ex-wife for every scenario although he is paying a significant amount of child support. I make more money so I already cover majority of the expenses. The only thing I request is that he provides his share. This time it’s a small amount but I’m sick of it.

18 weeks pregnant (1st time) and have always been an active/fit person workingout 5x/wk cardio/treadmill and some weight lifting. I've toned down my workout routine since I found out I'm preg as I got 2 v diff advice from the NP I first saw then the OB/GYN herself. NP warned of exercising as this should not be my priority now (which I agree) he warned from any running/or weight lift (were talking 40-70 lbs). Ob was so flexible about it and said I can maintain my routine as long as not exhausted.
