Did anyone recently apply for visa extension, how much time did Seyfarth took to complete the process and receiving the approval. End to end starting with initiation to approval.

Week 2 at new company that goes off Chinese custom. Most employees are Chinese citizens on visa. I noticed something odd about some of their employment agreements, they are paid 85% salary during probation of 6 months. If performance is good, they get the full 100% after month 6. I personally have never seen this, nor do I think this is legal in the US let alone WA/CA. Trying to get them up to compliance but this one has me stumped. My gut says this is illegal. All employees are engineers.

MBB folks on H1-B who recently switched to FAANG - did you run into any issues with visa transfer? My transfer has been filed and I’m a bit nervous about USCIS’ perception of consultants and the current sentiment around H1-B visas.

I'm a SWE from Italy. Love my country but salary and taxes here are outrageous. Got 2yrs experience in fullstack and data science, 2masters, a peer reviewed paper and outperform all my peers for 24k€ a year.
I'm thinkin about landing a remote SWE job (leetcoding and building a portfolio this summer).
Have you got some advice? Is it possible to work for US remotely without visa? What other countries pay well? Is it possible to land a 100k$+ with this kind of experience and working from Italy?

I am an senior associate at a small (8-10 attorneys) immigration firm in NYC. My base is 110k and I get 30% for the cases and clients I bring in. My revenue was 370k last year and I did 250k till April this year.

My issue is, I have so much firm's work that I have hard time to work on my cases/clients. It feels like my cases are supposed to be done after hours (like after 6 pm). My work hours are crazy. I feel this is unfair and since my firm's taking 70% of my sales. Should I ask for a raise?

Need your advise: Employer filed for Manager role - PERM approved May2021 ; however, I-140 was not filed bec I was not promoted this yr. Employer wanted to restart PERM for Senior role. This means staying for that role until I get GC.
Is it better to just leave & look another sponsorship? If I transfer, is it always the future (Manager role) filed? I am thinking that it’s better to be filed as Manager in the new Employer instead of staying at the same role in my current employer. Your thoughts?
