I did twice! You’ll be fine. Unless your coworkers are jerks, just ask for what you need, and do the best you can, and you’ll be fine.

Oh perfect. You can eat what you want, no commute so no driving when tired, and you can wear comfortable clothes. Congrats on the pregnancy!

I'm due with my first in March and also freaking out a bit. My pregnancy has been rough so I'm on a reduced schedule and considering going lower.

Nope. But I bet it would be so difficult on your part. I just hope your team understands your situation.

Any good detox diets that good to try out and not horrroble for your body? I want to curb some sugar cravings and bad eating habits over the past year. Has anyone done one they liked? I was thinking of starting a 3 day detox then go into 7days of a white meat/fruit cleanse for a week. Then just stop eating like a complete child on holiday after those are done 😅 any advice on what helped you get past the cravings and level set would be helpful! Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Anyone have three kids and working in big law? I just found out I’m pregnant with no. 3 and it’s been a lot trying to juggle morning sickness, but based on my experience, I know this is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. My husband and I are elated, but the anxiety of being a mom of 3 kids and working in big law is preventing me from truly enjoying this news. It would be good to know what it’s really like having 3 kids so that I can evaluate how long I really have left in big law.

Has anyone worked for advent health?

Would really love to help my lovely sister in law find a job in NYC or CT. She is a certified nutritionist, celebrity personal chef (her current job in Aspen but she is moving to Westport in January) and an all-around terrific, dedicated, hardworking person. She gets down around the holidays because she's single and doesn't have kids, but is an amazing aunt to our kids. Does anyone have any leads in the health/ wellness space? Im in biglaw and this is out of my depth a bit. TIA, Happy Holidays!

Has anyone ever gotten the SGB treatment? Was doing some research on chronic pain management treatments and found something called Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB), a non-invasive injection that helps chronic pain, anxiety and PTSD symptoms. Helps 'reset' the flight or fight CNS.

Would love to hear about your experience and how has your pain/PTSD symptoms been since!

I'm 16 weeks pregnant (1st time). My office (in NYC) is re-starting back to work in 2 weeks. I previously had an exemption for fertility treatments as exemptions were given for any medical reason. Now there are no more exemptions being given & I would need to request one from my LoB head.

I have a new team whom I have never met & if I don't go back now, I wont see them until Dec. I am boosted but my commute is about an hour including bus ride & a 25 min walk each way. What would you do?

Currently an S1 in audit in Dallas. Thinking of transferring to Chicago after this next busy season. Is a car necessary if I stay in audit? Would I be able to rely on mass transit?

When you test a GL account cause the balance is in-scope. Do you net the untested debits and credits together to determine if acceptably low? Or is it determined by untested debits being below PM and untested credits being below PM?
I have not gotten a consistent answer and seen it both ways in practice.
