When is a job no longer worth it?
What do you do when you work for a company that has been acquired and everything changes? Everything is remote so there is no in person meetings, we are so busy they have taken all team meetings away and have mandatory overtime. We have lost so many people and I feel that the ones that have stayed are not being appreciated AT ALL! They are not providing ANY type of incentive for the ones who do show up and EVERYONE is getting burnt out. I am looking for another job outside of company.Empower Retirement

I know more who actually got FAANG FP&A directly from audit. Seems to be standard industry hours and wlb, 9-5 or later if busier. Pay is not as good as FDD. I had an FP&A offer from Amazon and it was like 100k base plus 20k/year rsus. A friend went from audit to google and the offer was 110k plus 30k/yr in rsus. They mostly dm’d people on linkedin for referral.
Seniors in FDD including bonus already at 130k before bonus… more likely than not your getting a pay cut. And if markets keep falling into recession, rsus will keep dropping. FDD managers will probably breach 200k after bonus in these times.
I got an offer for Amazon senior FP&A and all in the comp came out to be ~$185k which I understand is top of the band for senior level. I am M2 and the comp is comparable though I understand at Amazon I won’t be expecting any raises unless I get promoted since I’m already at top of the band. At the end of the day I would think about this question with less focus on comp and more on long term career plans. If you don’t leave FDD by manager you’ll probably take a pay cut anywhere you go and as an SM in FDD your best bet are roles in M&A. If that’s the area you want to stay in then cool, but it is niche and it’s better to move earlier if you feel it’s not a long term career for you.
