I thought about it and then decided on a traditional 2 years at Stern. I wanted the typical business school experience with personal/school travel, a couple years of fun, etc.

I also wanted to participate in regular recruiting which the 1 year program didn’t really offer. It’s more for those who are either entrepreneurial or wanting to move up/take more ownership in their own companies from what I gathered.

Thoughts on the CISSP? It seems kind of scary to me coming from more of an accounting background. Currently in IT audit and would like to get more technical knowledge and maybe transition to something non-SOX and hopefully more cyber. Think the CISSP is worth it for this?

Hi Fishes, can you please help me on this -
I got Full-time MBA admits at Smith(Queen University) and Ivey (University of Western Ontario).
I have 5 years of prior experience in tech consulting - HR Information Systems (SuccessFactors) at Deloitte USI and thinking about staying in the Human Capital field.
Is there a difference in how your firms look at these programs? Any other specific things to consider for an international candidate while making the choice?

I am a Consultant for past 1.5 yrs and have worked as a Program Manager for the most part. I also have a MBA degree from one of the IIMs. Before MBA, I have 3 yrs of full stack developer experience.
How do I break into product management roles. Startups and companies I apply to generally call me back and change the job description and I end up interviewing for something else... 😅

Can anyone provide me with some pointers plz 🙏

2yrs Post MBA at Tier 2 strategy firm. Corp strategy PE portCo Offer (10-20B Rev), Vs. Associate at Mck Operations (pending offer). Pay is approximately the same, but Mck has greater upside in pay and progression, but the Corp strategy role is essential 40-50hr weeks doing interesting work in an interesting industry. Assuming Mck pans out (need to crush decision round), is it worth starting over given Mck's brand and reputation for development? TIA

Hi fishes,
I am currently working as a Data Science Analyst in Amex and would like to make a switch to Fraud detection/Credit risk modelling in future.(not in a hurry but would like to start preparing for the same)
How should I go about preparing for it? Is MBA the only course?
My current tech stack is Python, Pyspark, Hive, SQL, ML, DL(specifically NLP based). I have already done MS in CS from IIT Kgp.
I am confused mainly cause the tech stack requirement is similar to my role in the company.

Hello,
I am looking to stir my career into a Project Management role in IT. I have some work experience but don't have the title to apply anywhere. Is a Project Management Certificate PMP worth it as there is cost and time associated with it or should I just try to apply for PM roles?
Looking for some advice please.

Well it’s been heck of a week. Rejected from two start ups, but I guess after enough rejection, I just don’t feel for it anymore. Could be a good or a bad thing. Lesson learned though, I have been chasing payout of joining rather than sitting down and figuring out what I like to do and then focusing on opportunities in that area. This clearly isn’t a winning strategy, but I also haven’t been able to figure out what I like to do. Good luck out there peeps!
