They'll be pretty standard qs. Previous experience and industry knowledge, product design and execution questions, why you want to work there. Tell me about a problem and how you solved it, etc.

7 yrs exp, Automation Engg

Note:
I'm looking for a good wlb, that's why I didn't attend product based companies.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

How tough is it to break into a FAANG PM role at mid-level if you have less prestigious experience? I have 10+ YOE in product, but some was at a tiny meh startup that fizzled out, some was in the digital wing of a large old healthcare org, and though my current role is GPM at a “name brand” tech company, it’s on the smaller side. I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?
